Questacon Smart Moves

Invention Convention

Information for Teachers

The Questacon Smart Moves Invention Convention caters for all types of students and incorporates skills and knowledge across all Key Learning Areas (KLA).

So if you are a teacher of science, design and technology, business studies, economics, art or any KLA, you should encourage your students to apply for the Questacon Smart Moves Invention Convention!

The program is designed to engage the students at all levels and with all interests. Facilitated by the Smart Moves team and developed by industry experienced educators, the workshops will engage your students and get them thinking outside the square. They will learn from the experiences of successful Australian innovators and entrepreneurs and will be given the opportunity to create an idea themselves.

The students will work together with like-minded people in a creative and nurturing environment. They will gain skills and knowledge that can be brought back into the classroom and shared amongst their peers. They will be provided with detailed resources including a CD-ROM with extra resources that can be shared by teachers and students alike.

The Invention Convention isn’t just for the bright sparks, but for any of your students who want to learn how to come up with bright ideas.

For more information on how to encourage and promote the Questacon Smart Moves Invention Convention at your school or gain a better understanding of how to incorporate it in your KLA please contact us.

The skills, knowledge and experiences gained at the Invention Convention are unlike any other excursion or class room experience.
