The Questacon Smart Moves Invention Convention allows students to develop not only their ideas, but their personal skills. Emphasis is placed on both the nuts and bolts required for developing innovative ideas and building the students' own inventory of personal skills and the skills of those around them.
Each day is facilitated by the Questacon Smart Moves team, who with Questacon education staff and industry experienced professionals put together a relevant and informative program. In addition, students will receive all the resources they require while at the Invention Convention and they can be used later and shared with others. This will include program materials to use during the day along with reference information on intellectual property protection, business planning, budgeting and marketing.
Duty of care
While at the Invention Convention venue, students will be under constant supervision by the Questacon Smart Moves team, all of whom have passed a Working with Children Federal Police check. Students will be required to sign into the program daily to record their attendance.
The program will commence daily at 9am and conclude at 5pm. Appropriate drop off and pick up times should be arranged for the students.
Students who successfully register for the Invention Convention will be sent a detailed information pack prior to the event (a registration fee of $30 applies).
